The history of the Sydney Live Steam Locomotive
Society is in many ways synonymous with the history of
the movement in Australia. From the early days of
passenger hauling on 2 1/2inch & 3 1/2 inch gauge
elevated tracks, and the early 5 inch gauge ground level
track through to conventions, the development of the
boiler code, wheel standards and an impressively operated
miniature railway, the SLSLS has been a leader in the
movement. This book tells the story. In 48 pages, A4
size, 37 many historical photographs, track diagrams and
locomotive and member listings, this book is the first
comprehensive publication that provides details of the
history of the Society and the movement in Australia.
