This sequence of photos show a large Broad Shelled Turtle (Macrochelodina expansa) digging a nest.
The first photo shows her resting in shallow water prior to nesting. Gravid female turtles typically rest in shallow water for several days prior to nesting.
The fourth photo shows a fully grown Eastern Snake Necked Turtle (Chelodina longicollis) walking past the nesting M. expansa. This gives an indication of difference in size between these two species.
