The use of wax as an art form (known as encaustic art) dates back many centuries and was used in the making of religious icons across Europe. A few years ago, a re-surgance of this unusual craft has made available an array of beautiful coloured waxes to create unique artworks. Recently, spiritually aware artists in Australia, discovered that during the process of applying the hot wax to white cardboard with an iron, those in spirit were able to project their energy and presence into the painting.
