How to become a Rover

We have included the following information to assist people in becoming involved in the greatest game of all, baseball, we have also included some information on what it may costs to play baseball, we hope the attached information is of use.

Step 1.

First contact the Rovers by either telephone or Email, to establish when the next competition is commencing and if there is a vacancy within a team.

Step 2.

You will need to attend a training session, so that the Club Coach can review your baseball skills. He will then place you in a team that will best suit and further those skills.

Step 3.

Next you will need to ensure that you have the basic personal baseball equipment:-

  • Baseball Glove
  • Baseball shoes
  • Protector
  • Undershirt
  • Pants
  • Socks and Gaiters
  • Belt

Other equipment such as, bats, helmets, catcher's gear, etc are provided by the Rovers on game day. All of the above equipment can be purchased from The Dugout, 39b Church St, Lidcombe, Ph 9649 1347.

Uniforms are to be an approved style and are to be bought by each player. A club cap is supplied by the Club and is included in your first year's fees. It is suggested you speak to the Secretary or other executive member to get the latest news on uniforms.

Playing fees vary from season to season, for exact information, please contact the Rovers.

Step 4.

Go out and have a great time playing baseball with the Rovers.
