The NSW Ageing & Disability Department (ADD) provides a focus for service
delivery to older people and people with disabilities.
ADD is responsible for strategic policy and planning for ageing and disability
in all NSW Government sectors. ADD implements the major funding programs and
ensures funded programs deliver results in accordance with Government policy.
The NSW Ageing & Disability Department is not a service provider, but
it does fund the government and non-government providers who deliver services
to older people and those with disabilities.
The NSW Ageing & Disability Department allocates more than $650 million a year
through two major programs: -
- The Home and Community Care Program (HACC) and
- The Disability Services Program (DSP).
