1. About Impact Evangelism:

IMPACT Evangelism is a mission initiative with the purpose of communicating the Christian Gospel to the unconverted, in contemporary culture and in partnership with local churches. This is through speaking, writing, outreach events, seeker-church projects, equipping seminars and media.

IMPACT is supported by church and individual donors who share the vision to break new ground for Christ and is a registered, non-profit society under the Associations Act 1984 (NSW).

"Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went." Acts 8:4

IMPACT Evangelism has been running since 1990 and centres around the activities of evangelist and author, Dr Kim Hawtrey (see below 2. About Kim Hawtrey and 3. About Rob Sharp or click here for profiles of Impact student trainees from previous years.)

IMPACT is:
  • cross-denominational
  • reformed evangelical Protestant in outlook
  • working in partnership with local churches
  • specialising in creative and co-operative gospel outreach.

The vision of IMPACT is to function as a flexible, cutting-edge resource in the great adventure of winning men, women and children to Christ in today's post-Christian, post-modern society.

Impact has a new student evangelist for 2003, Rob Sharp (pictured).

Rob is a second year theological student at Moore College. He is an ordination candidate and is married to Cassandra.
"I have a passion for evangelism and eventually hope to find myself in parish ministry", says Rob.
"I see IMPACT as an opportunity to further develop my gospel preaching skills and to gain wider exposure to various evangelistic strategies."
IMPACT is committed to developing the next generaton of evangelists. The trainee program allows an individual to receive intensive mentoring for a 12 month period.
Rob is part of a kind of ‘Timothy’ process. In 2 Timothy 2:2 Paul urges his protege to "entrust (the things you have heard me say) to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others". Rob will be doing some speaking engagements and regular feedback.

To book Rob to speak at your church, please call 9982 4092.

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." 2 Cor 5:18,19
