' I was born in England, and raised in Leicester in the area called the Midlands. I have been actively involved with dogs all my life, German Shepherds, Greyhounds, Rough Collies. 

My father was a German Shepherd Specialist having much to do with the early development of the breed, then known as the Alsatian in England after world war two.

 Growing up in a large family most of my younger days were spent doing one thing or another with dogs helping in all aspects of owning, rearing and  training of the above mentioned breeds. I also had a passion for horses; riding for the fun of it, going to gymkhanas, then hunting in the winter when  the weather allowed. I spent countless hours with old timers around stables learning the art of looking at movement, nothing is more pleasing to the eye  than a correctly built horse or dog that moves effortlessly and correctly. 

 I have been involved in the ownership and racing of  Greyhounds.

 My passion for the Rough Collie came after I  married and settled in Australia in the early 70's.

I have been showing and breeding Rough Collies for over twenty eight years. Having successfully  bred to date twenty nine breed champions and two obedience Champions under the Kazjs prefix. Nine of our homebred champions have had several Best-In-Show wins at Speciality and All Breeds level to their credit. Our Studs have  sired Multiple Best-In-Show Winners at Specialty & All Breeds level and several Royal CC Winners.   
I am licensed to judge the Working (Herding) & Utility (Working) Gundogs (Sporting) and the Toy Group, approximately 110 breeds in all.

I  am also a fully licensed Child Handler Judge.  

It has been my honour and privilege to judge the Rough & Smooth Collie, and the Shetland Sheepdog here in Australia and New Zealand at Specialty level. Other breeds that I have judged at Specialty Level in Australia are the Australia Kelpie, Bearded Collie, Belgian Shepherds all varieties, Old English Sheepdogs.

I am Patron of the Belgian Shepherd Club of NSW. 

I have: 

  •      Served on the Judges Training Scheme Group Coordinators Committee 2001-2002 as
    Group Coordinator of the Working Group for the Royal NSW Canine Council / Dogs NSW 
     

  •       Given Lectures on the Rough & Smooth Collie for aspiring judges in other
    States of Australia
     

  •       Written and published my thoughts on "Breed Type" and "Where is the Breed going"
     

  •           Served on the committee's of the Collie Club of NSW several times and the Illawarra Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Club of NSW, in many capacities 
     

  •            Completed Canine Education Courses stage 1. 2. & 3.
     

  •           Judged Pal Child Handlers finals at State Level
     

  •      Judged Child Handlers at the prestigious Sydney Royal 2008
     

  •      Given several one day seminars on the Grooming of the Show Collie, 
    and various other breeds in the Working Group
