These two oldies Polar & Clare are now enjoying their autumn years here at Kazjs, both are eleven years old and were born within three days of each other. They have been constant companions to John and I, and kennel mates to one another. 

Both in there own right have contributed much to this kennel, Polars achievements are legendary having sired thirteen breed Champions many of them Best in Show Winners, and Royal Winners in three different States in Australia. Clare's achievement has been producing for Kazjs seven champions. Her last litter was to her kennel mate Polar, from this came two champions a blue son Ch Kazjs Gallant Warrior and a sable/merle daughter Ch Kazjs Glimmer Ogold 'Amy' you can view Amy from the Girls Gallery.

After achieving so much for our kennels they have more than earned the peace and tranquillity that comes with retirement. No more hustle and bustle of the show scene, being prepared days in advance with hydro baths, blow-drying, grooming, trimming and more brushing. No more getting up at the crack of dawn and travelling for hours to a show, sometimes even interstate, or sometimes flying when time constraints were tight. No more training, travelling or showing, just a hint of a smile from them when the new kids are led out for their turn.

Like old troopers that have been there done that, they are in no rush to get anywhere these days.
Their days in the sun have come and retirement sits well with them.
