There are over 1000 species of hardwoods in Australia and many of these have been commercially employed for over 200 years in an almost limitless number of applications yet few Australian companies have seen the need to demonstrate the beauty, strength and application possibilities of our timbers in both the commercial and craft fields. Our timbers have qualities of strength, colour, texture and feature almost unique in markets already flooded with bland or over-utilised timbers.

We live in a world that is increasingly aware of the destruction of its natural resources. In Australia we proudly state that our timber resources are almost totally under the management control of both the Federal and State governments. Logs from our national forests are only made available to sawmills on a sustained and renewable basis to ensure that the nation's timber resources are carefully managed for the future.
