Machine pieced, BACK TO FRONT appliqued and quilted
The crazy pieced stars were inspired by an antique quilt and
here I combined them with alternating plain squares to feature
quilting. The border took a great deal of planning to make it
fit exactly around the irregularly shaped corners. The twining
vine on the outer border was one of my first experiments with
BACK TO FRONT applique techniques.
